ABOUT

Stoop (they/them) is a White, gender-expansive-queer, creator, organizer, and cultural strategist committed to visionary anti-racist education, family engagement, and reparative economics, and redistributive wealth-building for racial and economic repair. Stoop’s work focuses on developing intersectional anti-racist consciousness in White Americans through racial identity leadership coaching, racial affinity organizational cohorts, and cultural organizing that centers Black and Indigenous humanity. Stoop utilizes PISAB’s Principles for Undoing Racism to support cultural gatekeepers, thought leaders, organizers, and organizations in developing anti-racist commitments, a clear historical understanding of Whiteness, power, privilege and anti-Black racism in the U.S. and in creating and implementing accountable and effective strategies and practices that aim to transform lives and communities. Utilizing public and private platforms Stoop co-curates culturally innovative ideas and solutions that elevate the dialogue on our racialized experiences through historical study. In the process White people begin to inquire, engage with, and take responsibility for ending racism, the racialized wealth divide, and all forms of oppression. We also begin to practice this life-long learning, as we seek clarity on how we may contribute to rebuilding trust. In the process, we loosen our grip on individualism and deepen our commitments to collectivity and principles of humanity as we act and interact with people and systems in our spheres of influence.
